Helichrysum Italicum

Known across the Mediterranean and the Balkans as the Immortelle, or curry plant for its distinctive spiced scent, Helichrysum Italicum has long been gathered from wild, sun exposed hillsides where rocky ground meets the coast and the mountains.

Traditionally harvested in Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia, the plant yields very little oil relative to the biomass distilled. That scarcity is part of what makes an authentic, well made Helichrysum oil so valuable, and so exposed to dilution and adulteration across the wider market. It is one of the ingredients we test most carefully before it reaches a client.
